Privacy Policy
Effective date: February 17, 2026. This Privacy Policy explains what data ZenDesk collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. What We Collect
- Account data: display name, email address, authentication provider, profile avatar, and unique account ID.
- Study data: sessions, XP, coins, streaks, badges, heatmap history, inventory, and related progress events.
- Social and collaboration data: room membership, room goals, chat messages, friend requests, friend links, and presence state (for example active or focusing).
- Device and service metadata: timestamps, coarse usage telemetry, and service logs required for reliability, abuse prevention, and debugging.
2. How We Use Data
- Provide core functionality like login, cloud save, rooms, chat, and analytics.
- Protect accounts and detect abuse, spam, fraud, and service misuse.
- Operate and improve features, reliability, and performance.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce platform rules.
3. Data Storage and Processors
ZenDesk uses Firebase services (Google Cloud) for authentication, database storage, realtime presence, hosting, and backend operations. Data may be processed in regions where these providers operate.
4. Retention
- Account and progress data are retained while your account is active.
- Room presence data is temporary and expires automatically.
- Chat and operational records may be pruned, archived, or retained for safety, moderation, and legal compliance.
5. Your Choices and Rights
- You can use guest mode, which limits account-based social/cloud features.
- You can update profile details and app preferences in Settings.
- You can request account data export or deletion by contacting support (see Contact).
- Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional privacy rights under local law.
6. Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect data. No system is perfectly secure, so you should use a strong password and keep your sign-in methods secure.
7. Children's Privacy
ZenDesk is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal data without appropriate consent, contact us so we can take action.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. When material changes are made, we will update the effective date and post the revised version here.
